AC Files Class Action Lawsuit Against Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections

BATON ROUGE, La. – On August 16, 2016, the Advocacy Center of Louisiana, Proskauer Rose LLP, and the Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of a class of probationers and parolees who are deaf or hard of hearing against the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections (“LDPSC”) and its Secretary, James LeBlanc, alleging violations of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
